The BYD Sealion 7 is a modern, luxurious, quick, practical, tech-laden and high on quality premium EV SUV with two configuration options; which offer a balanced focus on comfort and performance respectively. The feature-laden Chinese SUV has a 15.6 inch touchscreen infotainment system, 8-way power adjustable driver seat with memory, and other luxuries which make it shine brighter than its rivals, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the Kia EV6 and the BMW IX1 LWB. The 11 airbags and level 2 ADAS aid it further to be a whole package of luxury and speed redefined. The AWD paired with the electric power steering works wonders.

We like

  • Interior design: Modern, practical, tech laden and high on quality

  • Powertrain: Smooth, strong and progressive, making it enjoyable

We don't like

  • Road and wind noise can be heard in the cabin at highway speeds

  • Distracting driver's display and HUD cram too much info in a small space
